As you know, our mission here is to create a cross cultural arts exchange by producing plays in both English and Russian. Well, this past weekend, we did so simultaneously for the very first time!
Thank you, to every who came to see us flex our theatrical muscles this past weekend by doing another weekend of BOTH Three Hotels (Russian) out at the Prairie Lakes Theatre in Des Plaines, and The Beauty Queen of Leenane (English) at the Athenaeum in Lakeview! Your support is endless!
And now, more than ever, it's so important to shout out that support loud and proud, as the President of the United States has made it his mission to put forward a Budget Proposal aiming to gut the National Endowment for the Arts, The National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which includes FREE educational programming to millions of adults and children daily through PBS.
As we recently became 501(C)3 eligible, the National Endowment for the Arts will be so important to Bluebird Arts expanding in the years to come. Call your Congressman. CLICK HERE TO FIND YOURS. I can't begin to express how imperative this is.
