April 30, 2018, (Chicago, Illinois) – Bluebird Arts, Chicago's only English–Russian Theatre, proudly announces the cast of "The Elder Son," by Alexander Vampilov, which will open the company's 2018-19 Season at the Athenaeum Theatre in Studio Two on Saturday, November 17, 2018.

Artistic Director Luda Lopatina Solomon will direct a cast including:

Jay Wirsbinski (Vladimir Petrovich Busygin),
Jeremy Schaye (Sevastyanov Silva),
Boris Kofman (Andrei Grigoryevich Sarafanov),
Abby Walburn (Nina),
Gavin Farrow (Vasenka),
Dana Muelchi (Natasha Makarskaya),
And Nick Bryant (Mikhail Kudimov).

"The Elder Son" cleverly tells of love and loneliness, mutual understanding and vulnerability, and explores the desperate need for every person to belong. A case of stolen identity and a confluence of circumstances leads to a hilarious misunderstanding, changed lives and ultimately true love!
